Fallout New Vegas 2 Speculation Swirls

Fans of the Fallout series were delighted recently when data strings were found in Fallout 4's files that pointed to the possibility of a sequel to Fallout: New Vegas. The original game, released in 2010, was praised for its story and world-building, and since the new data strings have been discovered, speculation has been running rampant.

The data strings, which were found by a Reddit user, point to a character named "VaultDweller," who is described as a "courier in the Mojave Wasteland," which immediately brings to mind the character of the Courier from New Vegas. This hints that the game might be set in the same region as the original game. There is also a reference to a mysterious organization called the "Big MT Research and Development Department," which could be linked to the Big Mountain research center from the first game.

The Redditor who found the data strings also discovered other references to New Vegas, including the name "Lonesome Road," which is the title of one of the downloadable content packs for the original game. This has led to speculation that the new game could be a direct sequel to New Vegas, with the Courier being the main character once again. There is also speculation that the new game will be set in the same universe as the original, but with some changes to the timeline and characters.

Of course, this is all just speculation at the moment, and Bethesda has not officially confirmed the existence of a new Fallout game. However, the fact that these data strings were found in the game's files means that something is definitely in the works. Whether or not it will be a sequel to New Vegas remains to be seen.

With the recent discovery of the data strings in Fallout 4's files, speculation about a sequel to Fallout: New Vegas has been rampant. While Bethesda has yet to confirm the existence of a new game, the references to the original game make it likely that something is in the works. Only time will tell what it is.
