Solitaire: The Classics of Patience

Solitaire is probably the most popular card puzzle game of all time, and ME2ZEN studio made one of the best mobile versions of it. This app offers you to experience classic Solitaire modes and compete with thousands of players worldwide. You can get it on Google Play and play for free anywhere you go.

Graphics/Sound – 9/10

This Solitaire game can satisfy even the pickiest perfectionist due to its neat minimalistic design. There’s absolutely nothing extra. As you press “start,” nothing but the green field and classic cards with blue backs are displayed. You can rotate your device to choose the best grip in both portrait and landscape modes. No matter what resolution of your device’s display is, Solitaire can automatically adjust to it. Supported resolutions include SD, HD, and FullHD.

As for the sound, there is no soundtrack, which is great. You can turn on any music in other apps to make your gameplay even more enjoyable. Sound effects of card moving are included.

Interface and Controls – 9/10

The user menu in Solitaire is as minimalistic and convenient as the game. There are just a few buttons that stand for settings, FAQs, and leaderboards. The game table doesn’t have any interface. On the one hand, it makes Solitaire more authentic. On the other hand, I felt a lack of information about what I’m doing at the moment.

Gameplay – 10/10

This version of Solitaire includes several classic modes of the most popular Spider Solitaire. You can play unlimited rounds of 1-card and 3-card Spider, or try the All-Wins mode. No matter which mode you select, you have an unlimited number of hints and one-step returns for fixing mistakes. If you are a pro Solitaire player or want to make the game more challenging, try to play along with the timer. It’s an awesome feature that will put your puzzle-solving skills to the test.

Besides, developers add new challenges every day of the week so that you can try to beat their objectives and achieve rewards. Every round you play affects your personal statistics. The more wins and points you have, the higher the position in the worldwide leaderboard you can take.

Lasting Appeal – 10/10

In the current version of Solitaire, you can play an unlimited number of times during the day. It’s an incredibly addictive puzzle with exciting challenges. The only inconvenience that you may face is viewing the advertisements after every round.

However, it’s very easy to disable them. Go to settings and turn off the WiFi and cellular Internet, and ads will disappear. If this method doesn’t work for you, support developers with a dollar, and they will remove ads forever. All other features in the Solitaire game are totally free.

Conclusion

I recommend you to play this version of Solitaire if you like the game or want to try it for the first time. There is nothing extra – only the green table and cards. It’s a high-quality implementation of the legendary game, and it’s available for free for all devices running Android 4.1 and higher. Unfortunately, the game by this particular developer is unavailable on the App Store.
